During the renovation of the Volvo Gallery in Budapest, DVM's task was to implement an interior design concept based on the brand's international identity guidelines. The goal of the project was to create a modern, premium dealership that provides an exceptional customer experience, serving sales, service, and office functions while faithfully reflecting Volvo's Scandinavian design philosophy. The Volvo Gallery Budapest operates as a factory-owned dealership, brand service center, and exhibition space on Váci Road.
The project involved three main functional units: the 540 m² showroom, the approximately 300 m² service area, and the nearly 300 m² office zone. The renovation included a complete interior refresh of the existing spaces according to Volvo's current design standards. New carpeting was installed in the office area, comprehensive painting was done, and minor layout modifications facilitated more efficient operations. The showroom and service area were also renewed to align with the brand's unified visual appearance.
One of the most important tasks of the project was to ensure that the interior design concept defined by Volvo was executed accurately and to a high standard during the renovation. The use of natural materials, clean forms, and restrained color palettes follows the principles of Scandinavian design while creating an environment that is elegant, functional, and customer-centric. The gallery is unique in that it functions both as a car showroom and a cultural exhibition space, regularly hosting fine arts exhibitions alongside Volvo models.
DVM paid special attention during the renovation to minimize disruption to the dealership and service operations. Carefully scheduled construction and precise coordination allowed the renovation to take place while maintaining daily business operations. As part of the project, the interior finishes, painted surfaces, and functional areas were renewed, while the infrastructure serving the showroom was also modernized.
The renovated Volvo Gallery Budapest now welcomes clients in an environment that reflects the brand's values – safety, sustainability, and timeless Scandinavian design. The project exemplifies how thoughtful construction can elevate the customer experience and daily operations through the modernization of existing spaces.
