Scope

Design & Build

Turn-of-the-Century Atmosphere, Modern Sustainability: The building's magnificent turn-of-the-century atmosphere forms a harmonious unity with its modern, environmentally conscious contemporary design. The balance of style and functionality is achieved in a value-creating manner, earning LEED Gold and BREEAM Very Good sustainability certifications.

Historical Background and Reconstruction: The Eiffel Palace, originally completed in 1893, once housed the Pesti Hírlap newspaper and the Légrády/Zrínyi printing press. Following a complete heritage reconstruction that considered urbanistic and sustainability aspects, the building was rededicated in 2013. It has attracted prestigious tenants including Apple, the British Chamber of Commerce in Hungary, the Hungarian National Bank (MNB), CBRE, Genesys, and PwC Hungary.

Lobby and Interior Spaces: The building's lobby, true to Gustav Eiffel's vision, enchants visitors and tenants alike: the original pillars in their restored state guide the eye straight to the glass and steel roof structure, while a vast—approximately 100 square metre—living green wall complements the view.

UNESCO Heritage and Technical Solutions: As the building falls under UNESCO World Heritage protection, the restoration of its original structure and style was a given. During reconstruction, the building was extended underground with five levels of parking. Glass, steel, and cast iron dominate the building, complemented by white marble, creating bright, luminous, transparent spaces. The original wall majolicas were also restored, with their running Persian ornamentation adding nuance to the complex interior visual landscape.

Premium Quality: Floor-to-ceiling heights exceed 3 metres on each level, ensuring a sense of spaciousness even with larger numbers of occupants. The entire building is characterised by premium, high-quality construction and materials, making operations predictable and cost-efficient for tenants.
