In the calm, green environment of Margitsziget, surrounded by the Danube, a 4-star hotel underwent an interior design renewal, in which DVM participated as the contractor. The project, completed in 2017, took place over approximately 2000 m², in several phases and levels, while maintaining the continuous operation of the building.
The live hotel environment required particularly complex organization: the continuous redesign of work areas, execution alongside guest traffic, and tight logistical timeframes were all key challenges of the project.
The design of the bathrooms focused on detailing. The precise fitting of mosaic tiles, the exact placement of sanitary ware, and the development of junction solutions required a high level of construction discipline.
Meanwhile, the character of the levels also evolved: the different design languages of the previous and newer phases – with blue and red floral motifs – subtly divided the interior spaces while maintaining a unified hotel experience.
Energy improvements also played an important role in the technical content, including the installation of modern thermally insulated windows, which will improve the building's operational efficiency in the long term.
The unique features of the island – a nature-friendly, car-free environment – provide a distinctive framework for the building, which is also associated with medical services. The renovation of this part of the building was also part of the project.
